A Day in my Life

Crochet Small Business Owner

When people think of a crochet artist, they often picture a peaceful day filled with colorful yarn, quiet creativity, and endless inspiration. While that image holds some truth, my reality is woven with many more threads — devotion, duty, and the pursuit of passion — each one finding its place in the rhythm of my day.

The Early Morning: Walking into a New Day

My day begins early — at 4:30 AM, when the world is still cloaked in calm.

I start with a peaceful morning walk, taking in the fresh air and the quiet stillness around me. This simple practice refreshes both my mind and body, setting a positive tone for the hours ahead. It's during these walks that I often gather my thoughts, find inspiration, and prepare myself mentally for the day’s flow.

Beginning the Day with Devotion

After my walk, I turn inward — dedicating the next few hours to prayer and spiritual reading.

As a devotee of Lord Krishna, this time is sacred to me. I spend between two to four hours chanting, reading holy scriptures, and connecting deeply with my faith. These peaceful moments of devotion not only ground me but also nourish my spirit, reminding me that everything I create throughout the day is, in a way, an offering of love and gratitude.

Balancing the Many Roles of a Homemaker

As the world around me fully wakes up, so does the whirlwind of daily responsibilities.

Being a homemaker means wearing many hats — from managing the kitchen to maintaining a welcoming home. Housework is constant, and there is always something that needs attention. It can be demanding, but it also fills my life with a sense of purpose and care.

Still, amidst all the tasks, I carve out little pockets of time — quiet moments where my creativity can breathe.

Finding Time to Create

Crochet finds its way into the small, precious spaces between my daily duties.

Some days, I work on fulfilling customer orders, ensuring every detail is perfect. On other days, I allow myself to simply explore — trying out new patterns, playing with colors, and challenging myself to grow as an artist.

Whether it's a flower blooming on my hook or a soft toy taking shape, every creation carries a part of my journey — a journey stitched with love, patience, and devotion.

A Life Stitched with Love

At first glance, my days may seem busy, even overwhelming. But when I step back, I see a life beautifully woven — where devotion, duty, and creativity come together like different colored threads in a single masterpiece.

Being a crochet artist isn’t just about creating beautiful pieces; it’s about finding moments of beauty within a full, vibrant life.

And with every early morning walk, every prayer, every task, and every stitch, I am creating not just art, but a life filled with heart — one humble, grateful day at a time.
