How I started
Hi! I'm Shivani, the heart and hands behind Crochet by Shivani. My love for crochet began in childhood, where I spent hours creating little masterpieces with just a hook and yarn. However, as life moved forward—marriage, family, and responsibilities—my passion took a backseat.
Years later, a beautifully handcrafted crochet bouquet changed everything. It wasn’t just a gift, it was a reminder of the joy I once felt creating with my own hands. Inspired, I picked up my crochet hook again—and this time, I never looked back.
Starting my business at the age of 45 was a leap of faith, it wasn't easy, but when I received my first order, something incredible happened. It wasn’t just about selling a product, it was the first income I had ever earned for myself. That moment filled me with independence, confidence, and an overwhelming sense of pride. That's when i knew, CrochetByShivani will mean so much more to me than a small business, it will become my identity - something my friends and relatives will know me by and something which will make me feel proud of myself, again, and will revive my sense of self.
Today, every piece I create carries that same passion and love. Whether it's a cozy handmade accessory or a unique gift, I pour my heart into every stitch. Hope that i am able to share my passion with you with my carefully crafted handmade creations!
